How to Apply to HEOC

Clients interested in applying for services at HEOC should call (212) 348-2762 for G.E.D. class registration information, or to make an appointment for other services. Clients can also come into our office Monday through Friday from 9:30AM to 5:30PM to receive information.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for services prospective clients must be 19 or older and a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

Enrollment Process

Placement testing and registration for G.E.D classes are held one month before the G.E.D cycle begins. Please call for the next available date. Clients must have at least a 9th grade reading level and 5th grade math level to enroll in G.E.D. classes. In addition, prospective GED students must score at least a 2000 on a G.E.D. practice exam. Clients interested in pursuing college-level job training should contact us to schedule an individual appointment or come into our office for a consultation. Upon entering you will be asked to complete our Confidential Intake Form that allows us to assess your academic needs and keep track of your academic progress.

Schedule of Services

Current G.E.D Cycle began on February 22, 2011 and ends on June 16, 2011.

All students will be taking the G.E.D. examination on June 20, 2011.

Classes are held Monday – Thursday from 10:00AM to 4:30PM.

Tuesday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM there is an essay-writing workshop.
